The first, second and fourth pages need photos adding. Made the decision to wait until the end of the month and then get them all processed together. If I don't get these pages completed I can see this album never been finished which something I don't want to do. I have a couple of mini album projects on the go and I want to get at least one project finished.
This blog shows you the joys, struggles and obsessions of a 30 something lover of shoes, cupcakes & craft stash hoarding.

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?
Been running round like a headless chicken all morning so just before I dash out the door for lunch (nearly an hour later than planned) here is my desk as it stands today - big mess!
The page on the right says 'I don't like tow trucks' and is waiting for a picture of my poorly car on the back of a tow truck. Bike seemed very apt.
Please ignore the bottle of morphine but it has been essential part of my life over the past week.Spent some time yesterday working on my LSNED pages (now have 20 completed) and everything is still on the desk in full view.
Before anyone asks the little green stickers on the albums are there to identify the pages I haven't blogged & uploaded to Shimelle's forum.
If you want to join in and have a look at lots of craft space across the world visit Julia's blog where all will be explained.

A LO after a Little Break
Completed a LO last night after a break of a few days away from scrapping after not being too well. This photo was taken the first week of October last year when we went to Bruges for a lovely midweek break. Have used the lovely September Scrapagogo kit which when I first saw on the site really didn't like. It not what I would normally choose for myself but that is why I subscribed to the kits. However, now I have stroked and touched I am quite liking it!
LSNED LO's Part 2
I am up to date documenting my lesson's learnt on my blog but I must admit I am a little behind in making the actual pages. Some have not been made as I need photos and until I sit myself down and get them printed I am unsure what size I am printing. Must get this done this week. I am writing my lessons learnt on strips of cream cardstock each day and I have written these for each day and slipped in to the album pockets so things are progressing.....slowly!
Here are another 4 pages I have completed:
Just need to get the LO's uploaded to Shimelle's forum now.

How I Have Spent My Time This Week
To be honest since Tuesday the majority of my time has been spent lying on my side as I have been experiencing a great deal of pain in my back the past few week. However, today the pain seems much better....the problem hasn't gone or even improved.....its just I have taken rather a lot of morphine which has worked wonders on the pain and my mood!
Prior to all of this lying down I have completed some LO's. These are some I haven't shown you:
"2 Cute Girls":
"Siblings", which is based on this, well I say based when what I actually mean is an exact copy!
Finally 'Ticket 2 Ride" which was based on a sketch by Kirsty Wiseman, but then slowly steered away from the sketch!
Thanks for visiting! Have some wool things to show you plus some more LSNED pages but as blogger is taking a long long time to upload & my back has now had enough I will leave them until over the weekend.

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?
Been a while due to being busy busy busy but here is todays desk:
And the view from the window:
Edited 8.55am - Silly silly me forgot to link back to Julia
2nd edit 1.25pm - Not too well at present, I have problem after a series of operations that I had a few years ago which left me not cured & to be honest in a much worse state. The past few weeks things have not been good and I have seen Dr and have to see the consultant tomorrow as to whether I need to go into hospital for treatment. Having a lot of trouble sitting at the laptop & for some reason wireless is not working & lead won't reach sofa. I am making my way through the list & looking at all the blogs on my blackberry but its a pain to type messages on blogs with it. I will be sitting for few minutes at a time and just cut & paste a message for people. Sorry to be so impersonal but its just to let you know I've been. I've visited the 1st 50 on the list but left no messages yet. Hope to get round you all to say I've been. If not sorry x

A Little Look At Some LO's At Last!
As promised here are some of my recent LO's. These are the 4 LO's I completed at the Bromsgrove Cropaganza 2 weeks ago. There were 3 classes taught be Morag Cutts:
Family Swim:
& Pose:
Live The Magic:
This is the other LO, 'Take That Little Sister' that I completed that day using some of the papers left over from the class:
Will be back later in the week with the LO I completed at Bromsgrove Crop last Thursday and some LSNED pages when I have photographed them.

Learn Something New Every Day 16th September
Lesson Learnt: An unexpected day off work can be just what I need to perk me up.
I went to Bromsgrove Crop last night and managed to complete a 12 x 12 LO plus a couple of pages for my LSNED album, making the total made to 6. I am waiting to place an order for some photos to complete some of the pages but am happy that they are progressing and I am keeping notes of each days lesson. I may not be finished with this project by the end of the month but I am certain I will finish it.
I know I said I would come back with photos of completed LSNED pages and recent LO's I haven't shared but this week has just been so hectic. Plan to be back with them over the weekend.

Learn Something New Every Day 15th September
Lesson Learnt - You think you know someone and then they go and surprise you.
In fact yesterday it was two people who surprised me. Sorry but I can't say who and what surprised me but one was a unexpected surprise about their life and the other was a kind & generous surprise treat for me.

Lesson learnt: A smile on the faces of my children is all I need to rejuvenate me after a long stressful day at work. Just love getting off the train and seeing those beaming smiles and excited eyes looking at me through the car window.
Learn Something New Every Day 12th September
Lesson Learnt: Although I like spending time with friends, its sometimes nice to do things on my own, even if they are a little upset by my decision.
A little harsh but I feel in the long run the decision not to go on a holiday with a friend will benefit our relationship more.

What am I like. Promised to come back with some LO's and never quite made it this weekend. But I am afraid you will have to wait a little longer as I am off to work this morning. Unlike yesterday's 10 hour day (13 3/4 hours with travelling & lunch) it is Tuesday which means short hours!!!!
Saturday's lesson Learnt was:
Don't put things off, sometimes things can surprise you and take no time at all.
And I made the page on Sunday!!! Back to show you this evening.

Learn Something New Every Day 10th September
Lesson Learnt - Just because others can't behave like adults shouldn't mean I lower myself to their levels no matter how upsetting and frustrating their behaviour is.
I have some LO's to share with you from the crop last weekend which I hope to be back over the weekend to show you. Having gone back to work this week after 6 weeks off I have just been totally overwhelmed with everything that needs doing.
Still haven't managed to make any paper pages for LSNED yet but it is on a very long list of things I intend to do this weekend:

Sadly there are plenty of other things that need doing around the house but I am being realistic in what is actually going to get done!

Learn Something New Every Day 3rd September
I am off to the Bromsgrove Cropaganza tomorrow - a whole 12 hours of scrapping including 3 classes taught by Morag Cutts. Have been really looking forward to tomorrow and too my horror the fan belt went on the car late tonight. To say I am not impressed is an understatement. I don't have to be at the crop until 11am so hoping Mercedes have a fan belt in stock tomorrow morning. if not, will have to have a rethink as to how to get there as public transport from where I live is a little sparse.
So today's lesson is:
Don't get your hopes up as you know they will be dashed.
May seem a little negative but as of late this seems to be the direction life is going; just seems one thing after another going wrong.
Think I will take a picture of the engine for today's page!
Learn Something New Every Day 2nd September
My LSNED album and cardstock arrived promptly yesterday and after lunch with a friend, afternoon chat with another and a quick tidy, mainly because I had to find my scrap space courtesy of Freya I got on and made the cover and cut up the cardstock. Really happy how it turned out:
Today I learnt that I should follow instructions. I purchased what can only be described as pompom wool which I am knitting a scarf for Freya with. Lovely lady in the shop said cast on 12 stitches which is what I did. Me being me thought that is surely not enough and cast on another 8. There I sat kitting away for a couple of hours and had a decent length which, as Freya was asleep, I wrapped it around me for length and oh was it too wide! The pompoms just make it so thick and wide and I was gutted. I am not a 'natural knitter' and this had taken me a good few hours. Off the needles it came and all my work was undone. As this was for a child I only cast on 10 stitches and down I sat to do it all again. This time it is perfect and I am so in love with it. Just wished I had listened and followed those simple instructions.
Also a little late, this month I will:
- Kiss and cuddle my little babies at least once every day.
- Find something to smile about each day.
- Have a minimum of 30 minutes every day of ME time, no children, no TV, no computer, no telephone, just ME. As selfish as this may sound, it needs to be done for my own health, both physically & mentally.
- Go for a walk every day, even if it is only for 5 minutes, I will go outside and walk to clear my head and think about life.
- Continue with the 50 LO Challenge - half way there now :0)
- Complete 10 Granny Squares or stripes
- Enjoy LSNED

Learn Something New Every Day 1st September
Today is the first day of the lovely on-line scraping class from Shimelle - Learn Something New Every Day. I intend on making a 6" x 6" scrap album but as of yet my album & cardstock have not arrived. I have been a little naughty and broke my no new stash until I create 50 LOs challenge but I have only purchased a 6 x 6 album, extra page protectors and some co-ordinating cardstock - papers I am using are from my stash. But silly me did not complete the order correctly the middle of last week and I did not realise until late yesterday afternoon and ended up having to re-order. So here I sit waiting for my cardstock to arrive so I can start this wonderful month long project.
Well today I learnt that when you go to a pizza, pasta and salad buffet at pizza hut, one plate really is enough. Why do we feel we must have as much as possible in order to get our monies worth? That extra slice of pizza was way way too much and I spent all afternoon totally bloated which really spoilt what was a most wonderful shopping trip and lunch out with a friend :0(
Lesson learnt! lol
Being serious now, the real lesson learnt was to be satisfied with the true value of the day; time spent with a wonderful caring friend which was partially spoilt by the evils of value for 'money'. Hope I am making sense lol, but the message is to enjoy the simple things in life that come without any monetary input.
As my album for this project is 6 x 6 and the pages are not going to be that complex I am classing every five pages completed equivalent to one 12 x 12 page for my scrap 50 LO challange.
