Weekend Scrapping

Earlier this week I went in to hospital for a couple of days to have some tests done.  As it was a planned admission and I knew I would not be up to much during the week I had a mega scrapathon over the weekend.  I completed the last two pages of March Document 2011 which I posted Monday.  I needed something to do for a little while to take my mind of things Monday morning but didn't have chance to show you everything I had completed.  Along with the 2 March Document 2011 pages I also did these 4 on Saturday:

The last LO above is Freya making her Brownie Promise.

I also had a mini scrapathon on Sunday when I completed 5 more LO's and the cover for my Document 2011 album.  As I am feeling a little tired now and it seems to have been a very long day already I will leave Sunday's scrapping for another day.

Document 2011 - March

These are March's pages which I finished over the weekend.  Just need to add a picture for my birthday then the month is done.

Really determined to complete this project in full which is one thing I have struggled with on similar projects before.

Will be back later in the week to show you the rest of the scrapping I have done this weekend; total of 12 LO's in all.  Didn't have time this morning to photograph the other LO's and will be out of action for a few days.  When I am back fighting fit, well as fighting fit as I will ever be lol, I'll photograph the rest and post them.

Cookies

Oh yes, yummy yummy cookies!  Everyone loves cookies don't they.  I have a recipe for lovely gooey cookies and last year found a similar recipe on SJ's Blog.  Only difference was the sugar.  I had always used 200g of caster sugar but SJ's recipe uses 100g of soft brown sugar and 125g of caster sugar.  Tried this and must admit they are even more gooey.

Ingredients

125g softened butter
100g light brown soft sugar
125g caster sugar
1 egg
225g self-raising flour

Flavours

Chocolate Chip - 200g chocolate chips
Chocolate Cookies - use 200g of flour and 25g of Chocolate plus 200g white chocolate chips
Smartie - 2 tubes of smarties
Toblerone - 1 large or 5 mini bars

Method

Preheat the oven to 180°C

Cream butter and sugars

Beat the egg and add to sugar/butter mix

Sift flour and add to the mixture.

Mix

Now add your chosen flavour and mix

Break off small amounts, roll into a ball and place on greaseproof paper.

Push down flat

Place in the oven for 7 to 8 minutes

When cooked, press the tops down with a spatula and allow to cool.

The cookies will apparently last for 3 days in an airtight container, for some unknown reason they last about 15 minutes in our house ;0)

If you want to try something different, roll the dough in to block, wrap in greaseproof then a plastic bag and freeze.  When frozen serve with ice cream!

Been very busy scrapping today - Made 6, yes you are reading that correctly, I've made 6 LO's.  Will be back in the week to show you those as I have something important taking me away from blogland the next few days and I need to get bags packed.

Bromsgrove Cropaganza

Earlier this month Bromsgrove Crop held their annual March Cropaganza with 3 classes taught by Kirsty Wiseman.  I was reminded at the weekend by Jackie that I hadn't shared my makes.  Kirsty taught 3 classes; 1 double LO, a canvas project and a wooden bird decoration.  I haven't finished the wooden bird yet but here are the double LO and canvas:

I also made this LO:

Will see you over the weekend with some yummy cookies!  Recipe is written I just need to make some so you can have photos!

Look What Happens When I Try To Get Organised

Is it just me or does anyone else find the minute you try to get yourself organised everything goes wrong?  Last week I thought I would schedule  my Document 2011 ta-dah's for January and February.  It was getting late by the time I had finished and intended to take photo's for the 4th page for each month and upload to the post Monday night.

Well everything went wrong, oh so wrong!

I had an ear infection, that then developed into a cold with tonsillitis and Freya had been ill for a couple of days with a high temp which now has shown its true colours as she has a nasty abscess just below her waist.

Well sadly Monday evening came and went and January's page never got uploaded and neither did February's page.  So finally here is Document 2011 January and February pages:

Ta-dah......

So so loving this project!

Solihull Crop

As I said in my last post I went to Solihull Crop for the first time this Month.  I really enjoyed myself and managed to get ahead with the Document 2011 by starting the first 2 pages for March.  They are finished apart from the photo of my Birthday cake.

As you can see, lots of eating out which is really not going to help with the weight loss this month :0(

I also took part in the class that Morag designed and this is my page 'It's Spring':

Fantastic Weekend

We have had a really great weekend.  Great fun day with some friends Friday afternoon and evening after a double dose of lemsip to fight of this lovely cold/tonsillitis I had come down with last week.

On Saturday we went over to Herefordshire and visited some National Trust properties.  It was such a beautiful sunny day and managed to get some great shots to keep me busy scrapping for a few weeks.

Here are a few of my favourites:

On Sunday I went to the Solihull Crop for the first time.  I took the opportunity to get ahead and started on the March pages for Document 2011 and completed the class which Morag designed.  Will be back later in the week when I have had chance to photograph the pictures in the daylight.

Really loving this project.  Are any others doing a similar project?

Document 2011 - January

Here are the four completed pages for January:

I'll be back later in the week with February's pages.  I'm really happy that I am keeping up to date with this project.  Just need some time to catch up on last years unfinished projects.  Does anyone have any idea where I can find some extra time from?

Little Miss Gap

At last Freya has finally lost another tooth!  This is her 4th tooth lost and I was beginning to think they were never coming out.

Will be back soon with some crafty stuff.  Hope you have all had a great weekend x

Meeting Daddy

Just a quick post to show you some photos of the bunnies.  They will be 5 weeks old tomorrow.  Here they are meeting their Daddy Snowball.

Try as hard as I might I just could not get all three looking at the camera.  At the moment we think they are boys and Liam and Freya have named them Tommy & Albert.  This is Tommy:

And this is Albert:

We tell them apart by their weight at present but Albert is quickly catching Tommy up, so how we will differentiate them soon I really don't know.

Must dash as I have the Bromsgrove Cropaganza tomorrow and the lovely Kirsty Wiseman will be teaching.  Got to go pack those scrap supplies plus sort out something to wear as Kirsty will be taking some photos.  Can't wait!
