Lovely Little Deliveries

Wasn't the best of days on Friday as everything has just seemed to go wrong, one little thing after another.  It wasn't helped by the fact it was Friday, my non working day and I was at work!  My mouse wasn't working, my computer kept freezing, left my lunch at home....and on it went!  However, when I got home I came back to a super lovely extra large pizza box all the way from the US; the absolutely stunning January Studio Calico kit, Who's Who:

I also had my usual add on papers.  These are the patterned papers from the four add on kits that can be purchased separately each month:

And this month I also purchased one of the add on kits: Betty Crocker:

I added another 3 mists to my collection:

Warm Calico                         Apple Jack                      Calico Cream

I also took delivery this week of a wonderful scrap sketch book; Scrapbook Page Maps 2.

Its a lovely colourful spiral bound book with over 100 sketches.  The best bit is there are some tear out laminated cards at the back of the sketches than are already punched so you can take the cards with you to a crop if you don't have room to take the book.  Thank you to my fellow scrappers at Bromsgrove crop who brought their copies on Saturday.  First thing I did when I got home was pop over to the Amazon website to order my own copy.  Really lovely book that I know I will get many great LO's from.  It really is good value for money and recommend you have a look at a copy if you can.

Fellow scrappers Deb, Libby & Jackie all brought their copies and we all scrapped 'Ted'. Click on the names to see their pages.  This is mine using the Scrapagogo December kit; 'Miss Cutie':

I also completed some pages in my JYC album (finished off at home as I had left my journalling paper at home) and this page, 'Meeting Santa' where I used the September Scrapagogo kit

Aim this week is to carry on with my JYC album and I will be back later in the week to show you my progress.

Hope you all have had a great weekend so far & enjoy what's left of it. x

Pencil Lines Birthday Challenge - Book Sketch

This is a sketch taken from the pencil lines book:

Sketch25

This is my take on the sketch:

Its hard to believe but those photos were taken only 15 minutes apart.  Liam does have a tendency to flip moods quickly!

Pencil Lines Birthday Challenge - Sketch #145

Sketch #145 was chosen by Morag Cutts.  This is the sketch:

Sk145

And here is my LO.  Again a picture from our day trip to York and using the lovely Studio Calico September kit:

A quite simple yet effective sketch which I flipped.  There are some ink splashes, well spray mist, but it hasn't come out too good in the photo.  if you enlarge the picture you can see them a little clearer.

Pencil Lines Birthday Challenge

Pencil lines is 4 years old today and to celebrate they are having a day of challenges.  This is my entry in to the 12 noon challenge which is to use sketch #146:

Sk146

This is my interpretation made using the never ending September Studio Calico kit - I've made 7 LO's with it now and I've not even dented it:

There are challenges every hour and lovely prizes so pop on over to the pencil lines blog.

If anyone from pencil lines is reading this, I can't get the blinkie to work!!!  Look at the top right, got the background but no animation.  What do I need to do?

Edited - Its working, thanks Kate B x

New stash busting challenge has begun!!!!  Only another 49 to go.........

A LO after a Little Break

Completed a LO last night after a break of a few days away from scrapping after not being too well. This photo was taken the first week of October last year when we went to Bruges for a lovely midweek break.  Have used the lovely September Scrapagogo kit which when I first saw on the site really didn't like.  It not what I would normally choose for myself but that is why I subscribed to the kits.  However, now I have stroked and touched I am quite liking it!

'Canal Side' which is based on a sketch by Kirsty Wiseman:

Just Swing

Completed another LO after taking a break for this at the pub after the football:

I have based my LO on this sketch at Ideas For Scrapbookers.  Do go and visit the blog as it is a great resource for ideas as well as sketches.

Again I have used my October Afternoon Fly A Kite papers:

Not quite sure if it needs the bunting or not.  But if I do add it, think it will just be the top left corner and all across may be a little too much.  This photo was taken at the same time as our woodland wood.  In our local covert, someone many many years ago has constructed a swing in the trees.  Not quite sure if it is the same swing but there was definitely one there 25 years ago as I too used to play on it.

Twisted Sketches #55

Twistedsketches_055

Above is this weeks sketch and the twist is flags.  Every Wednesday you get a new sketch published for scrapping and every Saturday there is a card sketch.  Check out all the crafty creations here.  I used October Afternoon's Fly A Kite papers and this is what I came up with whilst watching the football:

Please excuse the flash on the photo but camera does not want to play today and try as I might I just can't turn the flash off.
