A LO Is Made....

The past few weeks have been a little strange mojo wise around here. When I was in Wales for the summer all I wanted to do was scrap and couldn't as I did not have many supplies. Then I got home to all my supplies and just no mojo! Just so typical.

This weekend I went to my local crop in Bromsgrove and to be honest I wasn't that productive.  I worked on my LSNED album.  I have 3 double pages to put the papers on,18 pages for journaling and all the photos to add that also need to be sorted and printed.  I also managed to LOs.  One I can't show you until Thursday as it is a GDT item but I can show this one:

I collected some of the photos from over the summer and I am really annoyed with myself.  I spent what seemed like forever making collages for my project life album and it appears I didn't upload them. Very very annoyed with myself and this now puts back the work on the album!

I was hoping to continue joining in with the Counterfeit Kit Challenges but with a lack of mojo last month I only managed a handful and have many supplies left in August and September's kit.  I havent even managed to look at this month's kit in detail and I dont think I will have much chance to this week either.  I may therefore skip making a kit but use up the two kits I already have.  This LO was made using my August kit bringing the tally now to 11 LOs.

I will show you my Guest DT work and share some news for the Childs Play Challenge site on Thursday as well as my LO for last weeks challenge that I have been unable to blog until now.

Reach For The Stars

This is the third LO made using my CKC kit, Take Note.  I have used mostly October Afternoon papers and embellishments with paint, ink splashes and stamping; a combination I rarely use.  Alphas by American Crafts and Authentique.

I am entering this LO in to the current challenge from Scrap 365 magazine on their challenge blog, Scrapbook 365 which is to use this sketch.

Good Times Together

Another photo and LO from our trip to Wenlock during the summer holidays.  This time a LO for Liam's album.

Made using September's CKC kit Take Note.  I am entering this in to the current challenge from Child 's Play Challenge site where the inspiration is pencils.  I have used paper rolls to represent the shape of the pencils plus a pencil sticker.  How I am going to store this in a page protector I'm not quite sure as the paper rolls are quite bulky.  Was really happy to discover last week that I had been part of their top 3 for August and I'm really looking forward to being a guest on the DT in October.

Smiles

This post is all about newly discovered scrap challenge sites.  Love that they are UK based and the inspirational DT work is fantastic, well done Ladies.  The first new challenge blog is Happy Scrappers.  This month they have set a challenge to use buttons and bows.

I have also discovered a further three craft challenge sites.  The first is Whoopsiedaisy which I am entering this LO in to as it also challenges you to use buttons and bows this week.  The second site, My Mum's Craft Shop which also challenging you to use button.  The final challenge blog is Jelly Park Friends where there Friday challenge was all about the children.  This photo was taken at Christmas which to me is really for the children and my personal excitement for went many years ago.  My button stash is huge so these challenges have helped to make a dent.

I am typing this on my blackberry and can't link to the sites above, however as soon as I can get on my laptop I'll put the links up.

LO made using my CKC September kit Take Note.  Mostly picked American Crafts papers with some MME with twine bows and lots of buttons.

Counterfeit Kit Challenge September 2012

When I put the Summer Lovin' kit together last month as part of the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Site, I wanted to make 10 LO's with it.  I have made another 2 LO's which I have not shown you which will bring the count to 10 and there are plenty more supplies to make more. I will show you the last two next week.

This months inspiration kit is from Birds Of A Feather.  The kit has a sheet of Studio Calico's Noteworthy which I have in my stash and I have taken this as my inspiration and basis for this months kit.

The kit has quite a bright green included but I wanted to shy away from bright colours this month as August's kit was so bright.  I have taken the mustard, peachy red and turquoise as my main colours.  I found that alot of the papers I was chosing had a grey/beige background so I used that as my base colour.

Papers, mix of Jellibean Soup, American Crafts, My Minds Eye, October Afternoon and Echo Park.  Only a few full sheets and lots of part used, although you can't tell this from how I have layered them up:

Cardstock:

Paper embellishments

Washi tape:

Brads, buttons, twine, pearls:

Stickers:

Alpha's

Here is the kit I have made which I am going to call Take Note as it is September and time for back to school.

Some close ups:

All waiting and ready to go:

Again this month I would like to make 10 LO's.  Pop on over to the blog to take a look at the Design Teams kits.

Your Smile

Before we went on holiday I had made my first LO with my CKC Summer Lovin' kit but had not posted it for you to see.

1 Bucket, 1 Spade.....

..thats all you need really when you are 10 months old and you go on holiday to the sea side.  Its fun to play on the beach and knock down sand castles.  Photo of Liam taken in Wales 9 years ago:

This is LO number 8 made from the Summer Lovin' kit.  I am entering this in to this months challenge over at Studio Challenges where they have challenged us to to make a LO using numbers.  I am also entering this LO in to this months challenge at The Cupboard Trilogy as I have used bright colours, buttons and die cuts.

Down On The Farm

This is my 5th LO made using Summer Lovin', August CKC kit.  Seems funny it is only 5 as it feels like I have made more.

Plan was to make at least 10 out of this kit.

This certainly is achievable with amount of kit I have left but the problem is I am getting a little bored of just scrapping these papers. We are still on holiday and don't go home until Thursday and the only other papers I have are the MME Indie Chic. Its times like this I am missing my stash as a couple of LOs with different papers would get me back in to using this kit.  I also wanted to be at the 50 LO mark by the end of the school holidays.  Another 12 LOs in 10 days?  It can be done but will I have time?  When we get home Thursday my Dad would have been in the house on his own for 3 weeks, hhmmm wonder what I will find!

If you are in the UK (sorry Scotland) I hope you enjoy the rest of the Bank Holiday weekend.  We have had a couple of days out this past week and i'll be back tomorrow to tell you all about some of these adventures.

Just Chillin'

When I saw the first mini challenge at CKC I had a look at the other challenge sites suggested and although out of time to enter I liked the idea of a male orientated LO at Use Your Stuff's Challenge.  This is my LO which was made with my Summer Lovin' CKC August kit:

Loved the other challenge sites suggested and I think I am going to join in with some of those challenges too.  Sorry about the glare on the photo but we are on holiday and its either very bright or too dim and this is the best photo I could get.

Hand In Hand

I may have not been blogging for the last week but I have been crafting.   I have completed three LO's using my Summer Lovin' kit.

One of my favourite scrapbookers whose work I absolutely adore is Stephanie Howell.  I first discovered Steph via her work on the DT for Studio Calico some 3 years ago and have been an avid fan ever since then.  When I discovered she was leaving the DT hat Studio Calico I was quite upset...well that was until I found out why she was leaving.  Steph now works for MME, my favourite scrapbook designers!  This for me is nothing but a win win situation.
Yesterday on her blog Steph challenged everyone to scrap a LO, card, tag etc.  As simple as that, make a paper craft project on Sunday.  This is my LO:

The first mini challenge at CKC is join in with an online challenge which I am including this LO.  I am loving this kit I have made from scraps and would like to make a minimum of 10 LOs from the kit this month.  This is LO #3 that i have made.

Thanks for looking x

August Counterfeit Kit Challenge

I have looked at this blog for a long long time but before I have chance to get my kit together its nearly the end of the month.  However, this month I hve mde a kit and am ready to scrap, scrap, scrap!

The inspiration kit is this:

It is  digital kit from Chelle's Creations clled Summer Lovin'.  Love its bright colours.  This is the kit I have made from my stash:

I have some black and cream card currently on order nd I will add those in when they come as I hve none in my stash currently.  I have added some red, blue, yellow and cream large alphas plus some smaller ones in the same colours.  Ink, paint, mist, twine and tools are added as and when.

Wish me luck as I hope I have added enough things in to make at least 6 LO's.  I may be a little low on embellishments as I have never done this before so if I have to add a few in thats ok this month but no added pp or card.

Just like the inspiration kit I'm calling mine Summer Lovin.
