As Promised.....

Lo's and lots of them!  First up are the two I made at the Bromsgrove Crop nearly 2 weeks ago now:

And the second one is a complete rip off from May's Sarah's Cards Kit.  I know its a copy but I just loved this design so so much:

Now on to some of my creations!  This is the first LO I did last Saturday of Freya:

Whilst we were at Legoland it was her 7th Birthday.  This photo was taken on one of the rides, high up in the sky over looking the park

Second LO was also of Freya:

......being 'Miss Attitude'!

In this picture you can see Tim Holtz's Bird cage and Bird as coloured in by Freya

Last Sunday I did 3 LO's of Liam.  First up was this:

Next up was this one:

The final LO of the day was this:

I know its a long long photo heavy post but thanks for visiting and staying with it lol.  Not quite sure if I will get the remaining 8 Lo's finished by the end of the month.  Three days to complete 8 Lo's is a big ask especially as I have 2 kids under my feet to entertain and a packed full day on Friday with quite frankly no time to scrap but I will see what I can achieve.

Need Your Help

We are going on a day trip out next week, probably to Matlock Bath.  Does anyone know of any scrapping shops in that area?  In need of a stash buying - wanting alphas, lots and lots of thickers are on the wish list.

I know I can probably buy all I want on the Internet but it has been so long since I stroked stash before I bought and I need to satisfy this obsession of mine.  Hope you can help.

If there aren't any good shops in that part of the country, can anyone else suggest somewhere, max 2/3 hours from West Midlands.  But, I know there is always a but, must have something cheap and cheerful to entertain three kids (6, 7 & 8) for a few hours nearby.

Love those little chipboard trees.  Can't wait for this to come next month

I've not forgot about the photo's of my LO's but been really busy today, Liam's medical appointment took much longer than anticipated and I haven't been able to take photo's - light wasn't right early evening but they are on the top of my to do list for tomorrow.

Finally Flying!

Yes, that's right, I'm flying!  At last my little butterfly is flying down the completed LO's ticker.  I managed to complete 2 LO's at the Crop last week with another 2 yesterday and a further 2 today.  That's a totally of 6 this month, just another 9 to go in 6 days!!!!  I'll try but can't promise. lol

Busy busy this weekend but will photograph and post hopefully tomorrow or Tuesday.  Trying to use up some of my Scrapagogo and Sarah's Cards Kits before new CHA are released.

Dot Com Gift Shop

What am I like????

Forgot to tell you all about a lovely and very surprising message I got a few weeks ago.  A member of the DotComGiftShop team sent a message to say I have been included in their 101 Lovely Craft Blogs.  Such a surprise.

You can see the complete list here.  If you have time do visit as there are some lovely blogs there, just don't feel worthy when I look at all the other crafty people.

Give Yourself Permission

Been on a little blog hop this morning and came across this blog with the most amazing inspirational quote:

Give yourself permission to reach for the rainbow.

Give yourself permission to dream big and aspire to make all your dreams come true.

Give yourself permission to climb mountains and run marathons and lie by the beach with a book.

Give yourself permission to love truly and unconditionally and utterly.

Give yourself permission to be loved, appreciated and even admired.

Give yourself permission to laugh until you are in tears.

Give yourself permission to cry your heart out and go through an entire box of tissues.

Give yourself permission to wear nice clothes, wear make up and do your hair, even if you stay at home.

Give yourself permission to go to work in your flip flops, no make up and feel beautiful.

Give yourself permission to make silly faces.

Give yourself permission to express your thoughts and ideas.

Give yourself permission to live out loud.
Because any other way of living is a waste of time.

What more can I say? Well apart from the run marathons bit is really not going to happen!

Scrapping Time At Last

Off to the Bromsgrove Crop tonight so at last I am going to get some scrapping done this month.  Question is now, what to take with me!

Wonder how big a dent I will make in those 15 LO's I want to make this month......mmmmm

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?

Having been away last weekend again no papercrafting has been done but I did manage to finish the second row of green in my Granny Stripe Blanket.  I do however, promise some crafting and a busy crafting space to show you all next week.  Been a few weeks now and getting the need to scrap.  Here is today's picture, with added cat, a tidy up and organise of some pizza boxes!

Sorted through these boxes at 3am Tuesday morning when I couldn't sleep.  What an exciting life I lead! lol.  Today's view from the window is sadly a little damp:

If you visit Julia you can see what this is all about and visit many many other crafty spaces all around the world.

Thanks for visiting x

Love Your Pictures, Love Your Pages

Just signed up to with the new Shimelle Class.  It started last week but with being on holiday felt it much better to wait so I am able to put time in.

online scrapbooking class

Read the first weeks prompts and oh my have I got some work to do.  I know this is not some test I should not worry if I take my time, but for one I want a project I start to stay on track and be completed on time.  Why oh why can I never keep up. Just always get behind and then give up as I am so behind.

I feel I may spilt this up and complete the first 3 prompts that relate to photos over the whole week and continue with this for the next 3 weeks.  The take my time over next 6 to 8 weeks to complete the scrapping parts of the class. Will also give me time to print photos.

Anyone else taking this class?  Are you able to keep up especially if you work and have a family to look after, seems a little impossible but sadly my life does have plenty of chaos, which believe me I am working on, slowly, some might even say very slowly but I have begun.

Sad Return Home

In more ways than one yesterday was a sad return home.  We have had such a wonderful long weekend away at Legoland and were joined for part of the time by my brother and his family.  Such fun we all had.

we returned home to fins something quite upsetting.  Whilst away our hamster Harriet had passed away.  The person who had been feeding our pets was quite mortified but she had done nothing wrong.  Harriet had just grown old.  She will be greatly missed by Liam and Freya.  RIP little Harriet.

Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday?

Not much here today as I have been having a de-cluttering........no hang on, that's not what happened.  My Daughter had a hobbies night at Beavers yesterday in gain their hobby badge.  Well she pack up my craft things to taken and show what she does, she took LO's she had done and then bags and I mean bags of stash to show what she uses to make them.  So this is my workdesk:

Granny Stripe Blanket, not much done but it is about 2 1/2 metres wide.  Lot more work yet.

Sorry its short & sweet this week but things are a little chaos last few weeks.  Going away tomorrow for the weekend and having to work late tonight so may not get around to visit many of you before the weekend, so may be next week before I get round to most of you.

If you want to know more about this addictive madness, visit Julia at Stamping Ground.

Enjoy your day
Hugs

Jolly Holiday!

Well I've booked our next little trip away.  Next Thursday evening we are off to here:

Not one of the most attractive looking hotels from the outside but it does have this inside:

Then on Friday and Saturday we are off here:

And finally on Sunday, a bit of culture:

My New Toy......

is this:

Treated myself to a new camera after my nice last one when to a not very nice new home :0(

Sadly I couldn't afford a camera of the spec of my old one but managed to stretch my funds to this one.  Now just need to have a nice long play with it, preferably without two kids shouting, can I have ago?

Thursday 1 July 2010

This Month I Will.........

  1. Kiss and cuddle my little babies at least once every day.
  2. Find something to smile about each day.
  3. Have a minimum of 30 minutes every day of ME time, no children, no TV, no computer, no telephone, just ME.  As selfish as this may sound, it needs to be done for my own health, both physically & mentally.
  4. Go for a walk every day, even if it is only for 5 minutes, I will go outside and walk to clear my head and think about life.
  5. Complete 10 LO's, plus the 5 I did not complete in June.  Entering at least 2 into online challenges.
  6. Make 3 cards.  Entering at least 1 into online challenges.
  7. Complete 15 Granny Squares.
  8. Spend an hour each weekend to work on a cross stitch UFO.
  9. Do lots and lots of baking
  10. Enjoy our long weekend away in Windsor with a 2 day pass to Legoland.
  11. Recharge my batteries
  12. Buy no new stash???? As with last month not too sure about this one but I have so many things and just need to use some before new collections are released later in the year and I need to go and buy them.  Can't quite see me going the whole month without finding something that I MUST have.  PS  Subscription kits don't count, but no add ons allowed.
  13. Continue to work on my new craft space in order to get it completed by September - being realistic here, it will take a few weeks to do and I don't want to rush to get it completed and end up with things I am not happy with.
  14. Research and plan lots of fun activities for the summer hols
  15. Play and try to use my new toy properly - will tell you more about that later.
  16. Leave work where it belongs, at work.  I will not think & stress about work in MY time.
