Dry Day & Mega Photo Shoot!

Oh yes that is what we have had today, a lovely lovely super dry day!  Ok no sunny summer weather but it at least today was dry.  Finally got the kids out and set about on my mega scrapping photo shoot.  Its what all good Scrapping Mothers do, make their kids, jump, sit, stand, well generally pose for over 2 hours in order to get those few shots to scrap.

Here are a few of my favourites:

At this point (just over 1 hour in) Liam has had enough

So to liven things up, we pose with a ladybird:

This is one of my favourites, little sad I didn't capture a ladybird with wings open on Liam but there is always another day - well I can hope for another dry day over the holidays, surely?

There are of course lots more and the ones of the ladybird are so gorgeous, some need a little cropping before they are printed but all in all I am pleased with the end results.  Oh apart from that dreadful tattoo on Freya's arm.  Went on a playdate last week and her friend Lizzie gave them to her, turned my back for one millisecond and there they were slapped on her arm.  I so detest them, arm scrubbing with olive oil is coming real soon!

Please note for a fee, models can be hired.  Sadly you will have to return the ladybird but you can keep the other two at no extra cost, I might even be persuaded to pay you to take them away ;0)

Another Wet Day

I have had enough of the rain since the kids broke up.  Last week I was hoping for sun, now I just want a dry day.  Am I asking for too much?  Well as I couldn't go out and tire the kids out today we baked some cakes this morning:

Made a few extra to go in the freezer for a later date:

Had a play on our new Wii.  Not a big fan of video games as I don't think its healthy for them to sit in front of a tv screnn constantly for entertainment.  Ok they have DS's, but they tend to be played on car/train journeys when ther really is little else to do.  Both of them can go weeks without playing them.  However, with all this horrid weather I have finally given in & bought a Wii.  Liking it as they have to get up and jump around in order to play.  we are loving Sonic and Mario at the Olympics and for once Liam and Freya are playing together with very little invervention from me.  So I have scrapped!

After finishing this LO took an enforced break after Liam decided to sit on the desk - Note - Will not take the weight of an eight year old child - desk and very very nearly the entire 5 x 5 expedit unit nearly collapses.  Nobody hurt and no stash damaged!  Back to scrapping:

Well that gets me two LO's nearer to stash spending!

Can We Fix It?

Here is the LO I created last night.  Again another LO with pictures taken on our first day at Legoland last month.  Finally used the July Scrapagogo kit:

Had a thought about the stash busting 50 LO's before any new stash and thought I would give it a go.  Being off work may be the best time to kick start things.  As I am tied into subscription kits these don't count but I am going to stay away from the extras.  Have been good with the kits as reduced Scrapagogo to just create and Sarah's Cards to kit & buttons - only have the buttons to give me the extra stamp (collect stamps for money off for every £10 you spend - kit is £18.95 but with buttons its over the £20 mark).

Remember I said give it a go!  Seriously I need to clear some stash as with the new desk I have now sorted out my sideboards and instead of the saying the cupboard was bare, its very very much the opposite and I still have things to sort out yet.  Found a set of 200 K & Co papers untouched that I must have had at least 5/6 years.  Really not my scrapping style now & may need to be given away to a nice new home where they will be appreciated.

Challenge is set, so fly little daisy butterfly fly!  (and make it quick cause don't you know this girl has stash to buy)

Two More LO's

Warning

This post comes with a real warning - Stash Addict has escaped!

Hope all the Moms out there in blogland are enjoying the 'summer break' as much as I am!  Summer?  Doesn't that need sun and as to where on earth the 'break' is I just don't know!  Well here are the other two LO's I have completed this week:

This LO is one of my current favourites and uses the lovely June Kit from Sarah's cards.  Really lovely and they still have a few in stock.

A couple of people I know have set themselves a challenge to complete 50, yes that does say 50 LO's before they buy any more stash.  Nice idea I think, but could I do it?  If you look here at my this month I will list you will see that the buy new stash has gone.  Kept to it for a couple of months but just could not resist any longer.

Ordered some thickers and a new punch last week from here.  Really great service, email to say dispatched and arrived next day.  I am one of these people who like to know when my goodies have been dispatched.  Here are the goodies I got:

Did I say I love thickers? lol  There aren't that many there!  Surely not!

Also some lovely papers from Sarah's Cards - New Echo Park:

Just love Echo Park, very October Afternoon.  Talking of which I also brought a few extra OA papers:

And some lovely lovely Dear Lizzie:

Also placed an order for Sassafras last Friday with an on-line store I had not used before.  As of yet they have not turned up.  As I said earlier I like to know when my order has been dispatched instead of just waiting as you are never sure when to chase, especially when they don't state turnaround and 1st or 2nd class postage.

That aside, I'd like to have a go at clearing some stash especially with all the lovely CHA releases that are due out that I MUST HAVE. But being realistic can I really complete 50 LO's?

Must go as I have always hated my handwriting and really need to practice scrap journalling.  Now all I need is some sunshine to enable us to go out and get some new pictures.  Getting a little bored of scraping the same event over and over again.

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?

Well for starters its a NEW desk!  Not where it should be as I am still working, very slowly I might add, on my new craft space.

Start of a ripple blanket that I started last night:

Nothing in progress paper crafting wise but here is one of the LO's I created on Monday.  Title explains all:

Loving the new desk and storage, just need to get rid of the orange and black boxes, Liam & Freya just had to have some and they have ended up on my cupboard and Freya just has to be like me.  Promised her a 4 x 4 unit with desk for her room for Christmas.  Also need to put the rest of my stash on the unit - 3 side board cupboards worth, a storage unit and odds and ends that are still on the table.  To be honest, I need another unit to fit it all, especially when I start getting the new CHA releases, some of which I am madly in love with and of course I need them so badly!

Pop on over to Julia's Blog if you want to know what this is all about.  Be warned its very addictive but also great fun!
