And Now For Something Completely Different: UKS (July 2012)

This inspiration class on UKS has been taking place all year and this is the first time that I have actually had the time to sit down and make a LO.  all the other LO required certain types of materials which meant I would have to wade through my stash; a job which I NEVER want to have to do, would tke way too long.  I have always read the prompts and then just thought I'll come back to that another day but never did.  However this month's is so suited to me right now.  Well done Shimelle!

I am on a bust the stash mission and trying to use of scrapping kits, of which I have many.  My stash is taking over the house.  I am now down to scraps for Sarah's Cards October 2011 kit and when I read use scraps I literally jumped for joy.  Out came the box and off I went.

This is what I came up with:

I still have scraps left and going to do another LO for my Daughter's album.

Only thing I'm not entirelly happy with is the stamped cameras as they didn't stamp properly on the washi tape and I had to restamp.  Well, its too late now.  Why is it always the thing you cant get rid off that goes wrong?

Loved this challenge and I really must get on UKS more often and take up a few more of the challenges.

Document 2010

I completed my first page for Shimelle's Document 2010 which is being run on UKS!!!

This is the fourth page for June:

The way the weather was over the summer, this is the only month this year we actually had the pool out!  Here Liam and Freya are sat waiting and waiting for the pool to fill.

As I am taking up this project 9 months after it started I am going to struggle to complete the first page a I don't really have much memorabilia saved to place in the envelope.  Instead I am going to use a calender page and list things that we did or happened in that particular month.  I have taken apart a picture calender which has pockets in to add your own photos.  At the moment the particular months photos are in the pocket and I have written on what I want to include each month.

I have been having a look on UKS at some completed pages and I like the idea of adding news items in as well.  Think this will be useful where I am struggling to fill the 12 6" x 4" pages.

Is anyone else doing this project?

UKS Cyber Crop - Angel Islington Class and Vine Street Challenge

Completed a couple of LO's today for the Monopoly Cyber Crop at UKS.  Hoping to complete a few more tomorrow.  Unlike Shimelle's Crop Party, deadlines for completion are a lot stricter.  Just about met the Angel Islington 4pm deadline with a couple of minutes to spare.

Shimelle's Crop Party - Sunday 8am Challenge

The first challenge for today was to create a LO using the following sketch:

This is my interpretation:

I've enjoyed the crop this weekend and am looking forward to the crop at UKS starting this Friday evening.  This will be my last LO for this weekend.  Surprised how many I completed yesterday but a little sad that after completing four LO's & one card yesterday I have only managed to complete one LO today.

Life sadly gets in the way of scrapping and this is why I seem to end up as a wannabe scrapbook addict.

Night x
