Counterfeit Kit Challenge September 2012

When I put the Summer Lovin' kit together last month as part of the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Site, I wanted to make 10 LO's with it.  I have made another 2 LO's which I have not shown you which will bring the count to 10 and there are plenty more supplies to make more. I will show you the last two next week.

This months inspiration kit is from Birds Of A FeatherThe kit has a sheet of Studio Calico's Noteworthy which I have in my stash and I have taken this as my inspiration and basis for this months kit.

The kit has quite a bright green included but I wanted to shy away from bright colours this month as August's kit was so bright.  I have taken the mustard, peachy red and turquoise as my main colours.  I found that alot of the papers I was chosing had a grey/beige background so I used that as my base colour.

Papers, mix of Jellibean Soup, American Crafts, My Minds Eye, October Afternoon and Echo Park.  Only a few full sheets and lots of part used, although you can't tell this from how I have layered them up:

Cardstock:

Paper embellishments

Washi tape:

Brads, buttons, twine, pearls:

Stickers:

Alpha's

Here is the kit I have made which I am going to call Take Note as it is September and time for back to school.

Some close ups:

All waiting and ready to go:

Again this month I would like to make 10 LO's.  Pop on over to the blog to take a look at the Design Teams kits.

  3. Well done with achieving last month's target and getting such a great new kit together - it's gorgeous. I have to agree that the way I counterfeit each month is influenced by what I used last month - it's better to ring the changes.

  4. Oh, I love how we both started with the same piece of patterned paper as our inspiration, but how our kits ended up so differently. I love all of your embellishments and...really? How many washi tapes? Are they just the ones that co-ordinate? :)

  7. Wow, I recognize quite a few of those paper and hardly any of the embellies. You should be able to get lots of "homework" done with that kit. Enjoy it - every single bit!
